Overnight Excursions
If you can’t decide between adventure activities, or if perhaps Havelock Island is not secluded enough for your taste or if you simply wish to explore the Andaman Islands and its myriad eco systems by immersing yourself in it full time, then our overnight camping excursions will be just right for you.
Our overnight camping trips are designed to show you the best of the Andamans from up close. A typical itinerary will include some snorkeling, kayaking, a little light trekking, perhaps a village trek and of course camping near one of the best beaches in a untouristed part of the Andaman islands. Your hosts will include one of our guides and of course some of our Karen staff. Much of the joy of our camping excursions is in the unplanned and unexpected and our Karen staff contribute much to this – be it in catching fresh fish for dinner, or surprising you with some delicious mud crab, or even in a spontaneous moonlight walk to look for owls or playing with the phosphorescence in the water during a moonlight swim or kayak in a secluded bay.
Starting from a two day and one night camping trip, these excursions can last as long and cover as much ground as you wish: only tribal areas and other restricted locations are out of bounds – for the rest of it, Barefoot Adventures can take you there.
So whether you wish to snorkel some of the best reefs in Andaman, visit some of the least touristed islands, kayak in creeks that are salt water crocodile habitat or nightshine for them, climb Saddle Peak, trek to remote villages or generally cover as much of the Andaman archipelago as you can, do write to us with your preferences and we can suggest an appropriate itinerary.
