Reservation and Payment
As the Andaman Islands increase in popularity the number of people visiting the islands is on the rise and availability of some infrastructure – particularly boats – hasn’t kept pace just yet. The luxury of arriving on Havelock, finding a place to stay and then booking excursions without a prior reservation is slowly becoming a thing of the past. If you have booked a holiday for yourself on Havelock and intend to explore the Andaman Islands, then we urge you to make a reservation with us in advance of your arrival.

Payment and Confirmation
Once we have worked out an itinerary that suits your needs, we request payment in advance in order for us to confirm your booking. This amount can be paid by credit card or a money transfer.
Credit Card: If you wish to pay by credit card then let us know and we will send you a credit card authorization form. This form needs to be filled, signed and sent back to us via e-mail or fax, along with a photocopy of the card holder’s passport and both sides of the credit card itself. Upon completion of the transaction we will send you a statement of confirmation for your booking. Please note that credit card payments involve a 2.5% bank transaction charge which will not account for any part of diving charges.
Money Transfer: If you wish to pay via a money transfer then let us know and we will send you our bank account details. We will require a copy of the deposit slip, which can be sent to us via e-mail or fax. Upon completion of the transaction we will send you a statement of confirmation for your booking. Payment via money transfer does not involve any additional bank transaction charges other than that which may be chargeable by your own bank.
All bookings will be confirmed only upon receipt of advance payment. Please note that should you wish not to make an advance payment, you can still write to us and indicate the date/time/detail of excursion that you wish to partake in and we will try our best to hold a spot open for you accordingly. However, confirmed bookings and reservations are made only against advance payment (necessity of doing business in a cut-off island with little scope of last minute business to fill in for cancellations) and we hope that you understand our reasons for the same.
If you do not wish to pay for a private excursion, you can make known your excursion choice at Barefoot at Havelock Resort’s reception desk upon arrival and they will attempt to find other guests willing to join in and share costs.
Cancellation & Refunds
- Cancellations made 30 days prior to the booking date will receive a 100% refund.
- Cancellations made 14 days prior to the booking date will receive a 50% refund.
- Cancellations made within 14 days of the booking date will not receive a refund.
- Cancellations made for bookings between 20th December '08 and 10th January '09 will not receive a refund.
- We will hold your reservation for the first day of your intended excursion with us. No refunds will be provided for no-shows, and your booking will be cancelled by 6 p.m. on that day.
- A change in date of excursion within your holiday period is normally possible but is subject to availability of boats and crew. There will be no charge for date changes (i.e. if we can change the date to another of your choice, we will certainly do so and there will be no charge for the same. If however, we can’t change the date because of unavailability of boats / those dates being sold out, then normal cancellation rules will apply).
